We have a full-time vacancy for the position of Fundraising and Marketing Manager to join the team at Margaret Green Animal Rescue.

The main purpose of the role will be to lead a small team of 3 to maximise income generation via a suite of fundraising initiatives, to agreed budgets and within an FR strategy that you will develop with the CEO. Promote positive internal and external communications to support organisational needs, increase brand awareness and support income generation in all areas of the charity.

The successful applicant should have:

  • A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, marketing) and 3 years’ relevant experience (preferably in the Third Sector) 

or 

  • 5 years’ relevant experience and demonstrable income generation success and people management skills

37.5 hours per week, working flexibly within a 7 day week. Additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the post.

The role will include flexible hybrid working between our Head Office in Church Knowle, Dorset and home working.

Starting salary of £34,000 per annum. On completion of a successful 6-month probationary period, this will rise to £35,000 per annum.

Our Charity Shop in Winton, Bournemouth has a part-time vacancy for the position of Assistant Manager.

The aims of the role include:

  • Supporting the charity and meeting the sales targets of the shop you are working in.
  • Providing the Shop Manager with support, to work stock and create an appealing and safe shopping environment.
  • Driving stock out on to the shop floor in accordance with stock production targets.
  • Carrying out all cash handling procedures accurately and securely.
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • Working additional hours in the shop and being able to cover the other shops in the charity as needed.

The position is 2 days a week contractually between the hours of 8.45am and 5.15pm, with additional hours as required.

Our Church Knowle Centre accommodates a range of animals, including livestock, equines, cats and rabbits. Working with the Animal Welfare team, you will be responsible for assisting with the general maintenance, repair and presentation of our animal closures and surrounding areas, to include horticultural development. There will be the opportunity to work directly with the animals, for the better execution of the role and in support of the wider team.

This position requires someone with experience in general maintenance and gardening, with an emphasis of developing our garden areas in support of wildlife; adopting wildlife friendly practices.

The role will be an initial one year full-time contract, with potential for conversion to a permanent position.

37.5 hours per week with some weekend work, on a locally determined rota.

Salary of £18,525 - £19,500 per annum, dependent on experience and skill.

The role is to provide information and assistance to the general public via telephone, through face-to-face communication and email, along with some related administrative support.

As Estates Maintenance Worker, you would be part of a team looking after 3 sites and 6 shops. The work includes general repairs, proactive and reactive maintenance, as well as fencing and grounds/buildings maintenance. This position requires someone with a good level of skills in general maintenance such as, plumbing, carpentry and basic electrics. It also requires someone with experience of general grounds maintenance such as the use of strimmers, pedestrian mowers and ride-ons.

The role is 37.5 hours per week

Our Lincoln Farm Centre in Blandford, Dorset has full-time vacancies for the position of Animal Welfare Worker. The centre rescues and rehomes dogs. The role includes delivering the highest standards of animal welfare, training and rehabilitating the rescue dogs, providing help and support to members of the public both on the phone and in-person and maintaining databases and paper records.

 

The successful applicant should have a qualification in animal care and/or experience working with dogs and good customer service and communication skills. The role is physically demanding and requires being on your feet for large parts of the day. A full current driving licence is essential.

 

37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, between 8:00am - 4.30pm, on a locally determined rota to include weekends and bank holidays.

  • Dealing with dripping taps

  • Other varied tasks
