Introducing the one and only, Scruffy!

Scruffy is a handsome, 5-year-old Lurcher who has well & truly stolen our hearts, and just wants to be loved and admired.

He is a medium-sized dog, measuring 98cm tall, and is very comfortable being around children and other animals. He is happy to keep himself entertained at home, has very good manners and is 100% housetrained.

All Scruffy wants in life is to be happy, adored and well looked after – could you be the one to offer this to him?

Silent Auction

We are understandably keen to find Scruffy his forever home. So, if you have an empty, Scruffy-shaped space in your home and heart, please let us know.

Please ensure you provide us with your full name, telephone number and your all-important silent auction bid.

Scruffy will be available to view at our Country Dog Show on Sunday 10^th of August at our Church Knowle centre in Dorset, and he is very much looking forward to meeting you all!

Bids for Scruffy will close at 5pm on Sunday 31^st August 2025. Silent Auction bids received after this time will not be accepted. The highest bid will win and the winner of Scruffy will be announced on Monday 1^st September.

Scruffy was kindly donated to us by award-winning sculptor and painter, Jennie Scott. We are incredibly grateful to Jennie for choosing to donate Scruffy to MGAR and for assisting in our fundraising efforts during our 60th anniversary year.
