It is always such a delight to spend time in the company of sweet little Rae who is a 3-year-old female Whippet X Dachshund with a tiny bit of Bedlington Terrier in the mix too.

Rae has very much been a treasured member of her family and is used to a pampered lifestyle full of cuddles, cosy blankets, soft toys and lovely long walks. She is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s circumstances, and we are very keen to match her up with a family who will be able to provide her with lots of physical and mental stimulation as well as keeping up with the luxurious lifestyle she is accustomed to. One of Rae’s favourite times of the day, aside from walkies, is when she is tucked up into her blankets before bedtime!

This lovely little girl is full of beans, enjoys a good sniff about and is incredibly clever too! She loves to explore and run about but can get very carried away with this which means recalling isn’t her top priority so her new owners will need to be able to provide her with safe opportunities to race about in enclosed areas.

Rae loves snuggles and relishes in affection and being told what a clever beautiful girlie she is – she’ll even jump up into your lap to give you a kiss once she’s gotten to know you.

The ideal family for Rae would be an active household made up of adults and teenagers where there is someone home for most of the day. She has lived happily with other dogs previously and we think she’d be happy to do so again. We would just need all the dogs in question to meet first to ensure everyone is comfortable with the arrangement. She has also lived with cats in the past, having quite an interactive relationship with one of the cats in the household. It is possible that she could do so again, but the felines in question would very much need to be used to sharing their home with an active dog.
