Maura

Name: Maura
Breed: Greyhound
Age: 5
Location: Dorset
Gender: Female
MGAR Reference: 55429
Maura is a stunning 5-year-old greyhound with a gentle soul and a playful heart. After retiring from the racing world, she's now learning what it's like to just be a dog—and she’s loving every minute of it!
This girl is a bundle of joy wrapped in elegance. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, always ready to nuzzle in for a cuddle or lean in for some love. Don’t be surprised if she becomes your shadow—Maura truly enjoys the company of her humans. She’s also a bit of a goofball once she feels at home, especially when she’s playing with her squeaky toys or having some zoomies!
Maura is doing brilliantly with her transition to pet life and is steadily getting used to the sights, sounds, and smells of the big wide world. She walks well on the lead and enjoys a good stroll, slowing down to take in her surroundings and explore new places.
Due to her high prey drive, Maura cannot live with cats or small furries. However, she would do well with another sighthound or a similarly sized dog who matches her calm yet playful energy. She could also live happily as the only dog, provided she gets plenty of attention and stimulation. Teenagers and older children would suit her best, as she thrives in the company of people.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will reward your kindness with endless affection (and probably a few zoomies), Maura might just be the one for you. She's ready to trade the track for a comfy couch and a family of her own.
Could you be Maura’s forever home?
