Animal welfare is at the very heart of everything we do at Margaret Green Animal Rescue. We firmly believe that every animal deserves to live its life free from distress and pain, and enjoy physical and psychological stimulation. As there are too many domestic pets being bred, leading to vast numbers of abandoned and unwanted animals being placed into care, we are also fully committed to the neutering of animals.
Whilst in our centres, animals live in facilities which are designed and constructed to offer a living environment that is appropriate to their needs and enables them to act out their natural behaviour.
Our dogs are able to enjoy exercise in pens containing lots of enrichment activities. They also get to socialise in off-lead groups, so that they can be walked and exercised with others when they find their forever homes
In addition to this, we have volunteer dog walkers who ensure all dogs receive daily exercise and mental stimulation.
Cats in our centres are given toys to play with, safe areas to climb and view the world, and are regularly groomed and petted by staff and volunteers.
