Introducing little Buddy who is a 1 year old Dachshund. Buddy arrived with us due to a relationship break up which meant that he was being left for long hours, and as Buddy has been used to having someone around he was suffering from separation anxiety. For this reason Buddy will need owners who are around for most of the day to help him adjust to being left for short periods of time.

Buddy can become anxious when meeting other dogs, which he shows this by being vocal, so Buddy's owners will need to be confident when getting him out and about so that they don't buy into his insecurities. Buddy's new family will need to build up his confidence so that he can have some off lead friends too. Buddy will need to be the only pet in the home but he will benefit from attending training classes to continue his training and socialisation and it would be ideal if his owners had some dog walking friends to continue his training in meeting new dogs.

Buddy may be small but he oozes diva attitude, so will need owners who are able to guide him to becoming a well adjusted adult dog. Buddy will need owners who like getting out and about and can take him to see lots of new places. He will be looking for a home with adults but he could live with teenagers if he was happy during the meeting at the centre.
