Bailey is a six-year-old Labrador with a big heart and an even bigger personality. True to his breed, he’s ruled by his stomach and his nose, always on the lookout for his next snack or adventure. Bailey’s a clever boy who has been known to help himself to treats (or anything he thinks might be fun to play with!), so his new family will need to keep an eye on countertops and cupboards—he’s even mastered opening door handles! When he does get his paws on something he shouldn’t, a tasty swap should do the trick.

Bailey would thrive in an adult-only home with people who can give him the structure, time, and patience he needs. He could possibly live with another calm, confident dog following successful introductions, but he isn’t suitable to live with cats. Bailey loves company and to be busy so he can become vocal when bored. Therefore, we think he’ll benefit from plenty of mental enrichment alongside his daily adventures—think puzzle toys, scent games, and training sessions to keep that clever lab brain busy.

Out on walks, Bailey can sometimes get a little overstimulated/frustrated, which can come out as vocal reactivity. Our team has spent a lot of time working with him on this and will be happy to show his new adopters the training techniques that have helped him progress. He’s a bright, food-motivated boy who learns quickly and likes to please once he knows what’s expected of him.
