Sherlock is a sweet, slightly silly soul who thrives on gentle affection and good company. He’s great with children, but due to his excitable yet slightly nervous nature, we think he’d be best suited to a home with teenagers who understand his enthusiasm and can give him the space he needs to relax and settle in. Once Sherlock feels safe and comfortable, his quirky, joyful personality comes alive so expect some spirited zoomies around the garden and lots of bulldog snuggles.

Sherlock is true social butterfly when it comes to other dogs – in fact, having a canine companion really helps bring him out of his shell. A friendly resident dog could be just what Sherlock needs to help boost his confidence and encourage his playful side.

This boy has a soft spot for the water – on his own terms, of course. Give him the choice and he might just surprise you with his adventurous streak!

As with many bulldogs, Sherlock requires a bit of ongoing care – his skin and toes need regular cleaning to keep him happy and healthy. The good news is that he’s perfectly happy to tolerate this kind of handling – he understands the drill and is a very good boy about it.
