Introducing Portly who is a nearly 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier. We have enjoyed getting to know Portly and see what a sweet lad he is but we have also found that he had little training and socialisation before coming to us.

Portly will need experienced Terrier owners who understand their quirky ways and can help give him the confidence when meeting new dogs, as he struggles with his doggy etiquette when meeting dogs on lead. However Portly has made a few canine pals at the centre that he goes off lead with so with time and patience we think he will continue to flourish in his new home. Portly will be looking to be the only pet.

It would be good for Portly's owners to take him to training classes to continue the work that he has started but also it will help him bond with his new family. We feel he could live with teenagers as he is a social lad.

Portly would benefit from a home in a quiet location to continue his training when out on his walks meeting new dogs.
