Thank you to everyone who braved the slightly inclement weather to take part in our Walkies for Rescue in Devon on Sunday 7th September.

We're thrilled to share that you have helped us to raise £2,573.96 so far, with funds still to come in!

 

 

Our Wingletang team was delighted to welcome some familiar faces on the day, many of whom attend the walk every year, along with lots of waggy tails!

Our walkers and their canine companions set off from the centre and headed on their usual route, along the edge of beautiful Dartmoor.

Finally finishing at the Peter Tavy Inn, where everyone was able to shelter from the rain and recharge their batteries with some much-deserved food and drink.

 

   

 

As always, we are very fortunate to have so many kind people offering their time, money and support for this event, so we would like to say a special thanks to:

• Steve & Lisa for helping with the all-important teas and cakes

• Andy, Karen & Wayne for providing transport back to the centre

• Rentafford for kindly donating the mini-bus, free of charge, to get walkers back to the centre at the end of the day

• The Doggy Deli & Pannier Pets for spoiling the dogs with some treats – they certainly earned them!

• Howard South West Photography for volunteering their time to take some photos before everyone headed off.

And finally, a huge thank you to our supporters for coming along on the day and helping us to raise vital funds for the many rescue animals who need us each year – it really does make a difference.
