Introducing our super sweet boy Sooty, who is a handsome 9 year old domestic short hair. Sooty entered our care after his previous owner very sadly passed away, and it is clear that he is very much missing human companionship.

When Sooty first arrived at Margaret Green, he was a frightened soul, as not only had he been separated from all that was familiar to him, but he had very sadly, found himself a long way from the place he called home. Due to this, Sooty can be a sensitive poppet, therefore, our carers have taken great care to make Sooty feel as safe and comfortable as possible in his new surroundings. In doing this, our carer's have seen the most incredible transformation in Sooty, and its safe to say that our hearts have well and truly been stolen by this gorgeous boy.

It seems that Sooty is a very affectionate and social boy, who has become rather accustomed to curling up onto his carer's laps, where he will happily stay for the majority of the day. He will also won't be shy to let you know that he'd like a cheek rub, as we have noticed that he will ever so gently wrap his paws gently your hand as a polite gesture to kindly continue the strokes, which our carer's find absolutely adorable.

Despite his initial hesitance around new and unfamiliar people, once a bond has been built, you've certainly made a friend for life, as Sooty very much loves to be in the presence of his carer's.

Despite Sooty forming a strong affiliation with his familiar humans, he can get a little overwhelmed when faced with lots of people, so we believe that he would be at his happiest in a quiet, adult only home with no other pets, where he can have free access to a fenced off garden via a cat flap. Having a secure garden is important as it means that he can explore the new sights and sounds of his new home once he feels comfortable and safe enough to do so.
