Meet the Team

Margaret Green devoted much of her life to the rescue and care of animals. We are so grateful for what she did for them and we promise to continue her good work for the sake of all the animals that continue to need us.

Trustees

Tim Payne

Tim Payne

Tim Payne, a retired solicitor, first became associated with the charity in 1968 and was appointed a trustee in 1986. He is responsible for legal matters affecting MGAR and is also secretary.

Matt Devereux

Matt Devereux

Matt Devereux became involved after meeting Margaret Green in 1991. Following a number of years acting as a volunteer he became a trustee in 2001 and oversees the management of the charity.

Mike Nathan

Mike Nathan

Mike Nathan became a trustee in 2008 and took on the role as veterinary advisor. He was involved with the veterinary care at Lincoln farm and Church Knowle for many years in his capacity as senior vet at Damory Veterinary Clinic. He was responsible for the setting up of the veterinary facilities at Lincoln Farm.

Lorraine Whitfield

Lorraine Suchanek

Lorraine Suchanek became a trustee in early 2013. She is a solicitor and partner in a law firm in Southampton and uses her experience of the law to help the Trust in administering its affairs and dealing with any challenges it may face. She owns three dogs and is committed to supporting the welfare of animals.

Alan Simons

Alan Simons

Alan Simons became a trustee in May 2014. He is the principal of a firm of Chartered Accountants in Bournemouth. Alan uses his financial skills and background to assist the charity and is also the Treasurer.

Duane Walker

Duane Walker became a trustee in 2016. He is a Chartered Surveyor and director of a regional firm of surveyors and commercial property advisors. Duane uses his property skills to help the charity with its property and trading assets. He has rescue cats and helps to promote the good work of the charity.

Geoff Wright

Geoff is our Chief Executive. After a successful career in retail, Geoff moved to the charity sector and has built up a wealth of experience in running animal charities. Geoff has two rescue dogs, Ella and Suki.

Kate Wickins - Centre Manager

Kate is centre manager at Church Knowle Animal Sanctuary and Visitor Centre in Dorset. She started at Church Knowle in January 2015 and has 10 years’ experience working for animal welfare charities. Kate has worked with all kinds of animals and loves working with all the different species at Church Knowle. Kate has a rescue dog called Saphy.

Helen Chittock

Helen Chittock - Centre Manager

Helen is centre manager at Lincoln Farm Rescue & Rehoming Centre for Dogs in Dorset. Helen joined the charity in 2002. She has always loved animals and is passionate about the rescue and rehoming of unwanted and abandoned dogs. Helen has two rescue dogs called Blue Dog and Blaze.

Niki Ging

Niki Ging - Joint Centre Manager

Niki is joint centre manager at Wingletang Rescue & Rehoming Centre for Dogs and Cats in Devon. She has worked for the charity since 1994. Niki has previous experience working in a boarding cattery and kennels and loves animals of all shapes and sizes!

Alan Ging

Alan Ging - Joint Centre Manager

Alan is joint centre manager at Wingletang Rescue & Rehoming Centre for Dogs and Cats in Devon. He has has always loved animals and has worked for the charity since 1994. Alan was previously a dog warden for the Salisbury area.
