Are we asking for the impossible?

We need a number orientated animal lover, who loves data and is happy to keep crunching the data to give us the information we are looking for.

Up to 3 days a week, based at our Church Knowle Rehoming & Visitor Centre at Church Knowle, you would be part of our Commercial Team and drive the fundraising campaigns.

But that isn’t all, we are a small (but perfectly formed) team, and you would spend time supporting event and marketing colleagues as required, which would mean some evening and weekend working.

This is a new role for the charity, and a great opportunity to really make a difference, helping all of our animals

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Fundraising data support role prepares plans or procedures that provide operational and/or technical support to the Commercial team to achieve specific objectives.

This role works within the Commercial Team at Church Knowle Rehoming & Visitor Centre and is responsible for delivering analysis and campaign activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Fundraising data analyst role is responsible for running and generating campaign selections to support key marketing activity for the Commercial Team using existing database
  • You will be responsible for analysing  data and making recommendations to the charity based on your conclusions
  • Attention to detail is critical, you must be highly organised and liaise with the commercial team.
  • Ensuring that campaign selections are delivered on time and on plan will be key to success in the role.
  • You will monitor campaigns and donations as they land and feedback results to the commercial team, sharing successes and identifying future opportunities. Campaigns will cover various marketing channels including email, direct mail, social media and promotions.
  • You will be responsible for weekly campaign reporting for the commercial team, drawing together data from numerous sources including third parties. Key to this role is the capability to use a variety of systems and interrogation of data to drive actionable insight.
  • Providing regular, and ad hoc reports to Commercial Department

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Maths

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong numerical and analytical background and experience working with customer databases

• Strong customer data analysis experience - direct experience utilising data mining and statistical techniques beneficial

• Knowledge of CRM principles

• Experience of customer behaviour analytics and segmentation

• Comfortable in a database environment and understands SQL, with ability to write queries

• Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables

• Must be numbers focused and have a keen eye for detail

DESIRED SKILLS

• Marketing background

• Ability to manage triggered as well as ad hoc activity

• Forecasting  required to meet business objectives

• Experience with email campaigns

• A good knowledge of the internet - retailers, online marketing and confident in a web environment

• Excellent communication skills

• Highly organised and able to manage several campaigns at once

• The ability to prioritise

Could you be the Fundraiser we are looking for?

Fundraising/Marketing Assistant

We are looking for someone a little bit out of the ordinary. If you have fundraising experience, you understand the basics of marketing, and are looking for the opportunity to develop both skill sets, this could be the job for you.

The successful applicant will join our dedicated team, and be able to demonstrate how their love of animals will drive them to help make a huge difference to the lives of those we rescue and re-home. You will be able to prove your ability to enable both well thought out and productive fundraising campaigns, whilst supporting consistently high quality and effective marketing.

This is a hands on role, where in addition to being instrumental in our Fundraising plans and developing our process, you can help support the planning of Marketing Promotions, providing creative input.

Your knowledge and expertise will enable you to bring innovative solutions and fun ideas to the table in our team discussions.

You will be able to produce briefs for quality design from print to web, and have real attention to detail and excellent proof reading skills.

As part of this role you will also support the events department as required which will require some weekend and evening working.

The successful applicant will have creative flair, be a great communicator, confident and self-motivated.

Working under deadlines in a busy environment you will be able to keep a sense of humour whilst providing high quality innovative briefs within brand guidelines and on message for fundraising.

Skills and Experience required include:

  • Proven record of Fundraising
  • Marketing Experience
  • Excellent relationship building with Stakeholder Contacts
  • Strong creative flair for innovative design briefs
  • Copywriting and proofing skills, which include online writing skills with consideration for readability, accessibility and SEO
  • Proficiency in the use of IT software packages

Based in Church Knowle, Wareham the position is part time, up to 3 days (negotiable), salary is commensurate with experience.

As our Retail offer continues to grow Margaret Green Animal Rescue have a number of fantastic opportunities in their Retail section, if you are passionate about customer service, have retail experience and can support us to meet our sales targets and develop a team of committed volunteers, then we have some exciting news, we are opening in Wimborne early in 2018 and are looking for an experienced retail manager to join us on the team there.

Shop Manager 5 days per week

(We also have a separate vacancy for an Assistant Manager 2 days per week)

Margaret Green Animal Rescue has a full time vacancy for an Animal Welfare Worker at our Wingletang Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Devon

The centre rescues and rehomes stray and abandoned dogs.  The role includes delivering the highest standards of animal welfare, training and rehabilitating the rescue dogs, providing help and support to members of the public both on the phone and in person and maintaining database and paper records.

The successful applicant should have a qualification in animal care and/or experience working with dogs and good customer service and communication skills. A full current driving licence and own transport is essential.
 
37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, between 08:30 - 17:00, to include working most weekends.

£7.73ph.
