They Walked, Rode and Cycled Their Way Through Our Third Tri-4-Rescue
The sun shone, the dogs wagged their tails and our supporters took to Dartmoor to walk, ride and cycle in aid of our rescue animals.
Our participants took part in either a walk, horse-ride or cycle and the lovely Angela even went for all three!
The three part challenge started at 10am with a 5 mile walk from our Wingletang centre near Tavistock and finished at the Peter Tavy Inn, where many of the walkers stayed for lunch. This was followed by a 6 mile horse ride and a 14 mile cycle ride.
“It was fantastic to see so many people taking part on Sunday” said Alan and Niki, who manage Margaret Green Animal Rescue’s Wingletang Centre. “It means even more to us as the charity is celebrating 50 years of animal rescue this year.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who came to our triathlon event as well as to those who sponsored it. A huge thank you to Chris and Jo Wordingham who run the Peter Tavy Inn as well as Rentafford of Tavistock who donated us the use of their mini bus for the day which was vital for helping us transport people and dogs.”
