Rescue Mission
Earlier this week, our team was called to help rescue over 65 dogs discovered living together in one household.
Sadly, the owner had become completely overwhelmed by the number of animals in their care and was struggling to cope, so urgent action was needed to get the dogs to safety.
We brought 30 dogs into our care, ranging from tiny 2-week-old puppies to adult dogs, while the remaining dogs were taken in by other local centres.
Despite everything they’ve been through, their gentle, loving natures are already beginning to shine through, though many are understandably frightened and traumatised from their ordeal.
Our vets immediately began health checks and vaccinations, while our incredible volunteers have been helping us to bathe, comfort and gently introduce them to the kindness and care they deserve.
Over the coming weeks, the dogs will be supported across our Devon and Dorset centres, where our dedicated teams will work tirelessly to help them recover, grow in confidence, and get back on their paws.
This rescue mission has placed an enormous strain on our already stretched resources, with some very young puppies needing round-the-clock care.
If you’re able to support us, your donation will help us to provide vital veterinary treatment, warmth, rehabilitation and love – everything these sweet dogs need as they recover.
Together, we can give them the happy future they so desperately deserve.
