Leaving a gift in your Will to Margaret Green Animal Rescue makes a real and lasting difference to the animals we rescue and care for each year. It will secure the future of thousands of animals who are not in a position to help themselves. If you choose to leave a gift in your Will, you will be helping animals that have no voice to ask for the help they need.
Donations in Wills ensure we can continue to meet our core values of:
Lifetime giving is a way that you could reduce your Inheritance Tax, which involves giving money or assets away during your lifetime.
Making a 'lifetime gift' means assets included in your estate could be exempt from Inheritance Tax, which means
more of the funds will go directly towards helping animals.
Please speak to your solicitor who will be able to provide more information about lifetime giving and leaving a gift in your Will.
You can make a real difference
Maureen Violet George kindly decided to leave a gift in her Will and because of this,
we were able to refurbish two of our kennel blocks and build a new reception building.
The refurbished kennels mean that we are now able to provide: better seasonal environments, improved sound insulation and most importantly, it means that the rescue dogs are less stressed because they have their own private space to relax in. We are now able to offer private rooms for people who visit to rehome, and also those who have decided to bring their pet into rescue, which can be a very upsetting time.
How can I help?
We would be so grateful if you do decide to leave a gift to us in your Will.
Once you have made that decision and you come to make your Will, or even update it,
you will need to ask whoever is writing your Will for you to include the following information:
Our Registered Charity Number: 1167990
Our head office address: Margaret Green Animal Rescue, Church Knowle, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 5NQ
Choosing to leave a donation in your Will to Margaret Green Animal Rescue ensures you can make a life-changing difference to the future of so many animals.
Only by making a Will can you be absolutely certain your affairs will be dealt with as you would wish.

Planning Future Care offers you peace of mind
It’s never easy to think about what happens when you pass away, but our Future Care scheme
is there to give you peace of mind, and the comfort of knowing that your pets will be cared for following your wishes.
Have you asked yourself “What will I do about my own pets if anything happens to me?”
If the situation arises where you can no longer look after your pets, we can provide for their future care at one of our centres,
where they will be cared for by our dedicated staff until we can find them a new forever home.
The scheme is also available to those that are no longer able to care for their pets due to a long lasting illness,
being treated for cancer or for those that have a lasting disability.
We care for cats, dogs, farm animals and small furries.
Express your interest by downloading and filling in the form here and then return to us by post or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Instructions and information we need will be sent to you in due course.
We also recommend that you mention the care of your pets in your Will. Let friends and family know your intentions and that you have signed up to Future Care at Margaret Green Animal Rescue. Our staff will be able to welcome your pet to the centre and provide the care they need, whilst we start looking for a home that is perfect for them.
Peace of mind for you, a legacy of love for your pet
