Introducing the beautiful Flossie who is a nearly 7 year old Collie x. Flossie is a sensitive girl who takes time to trust and form bonds with new people. Flossie is currently in an experienced foster home and will be looking for experienced Collie owners who can help her continue to flourish in her new home.

Flossie will need owners who have the time and dedication to putting the training in with Flossie and help her feel safe and secure and in return she has a lot of love to give back to her new owners once she has bonded with you. Flossie will need help with her formal handling as she can still find it quite scary at times.

We feel Flossie would be happiest living in an adult only home without lots of visitors coming and going and for her to be the only pet. Flossie will need a home in a rural location to help her feel safe when out on her walks. It would be ideal if her new owners had some regular dog walking friends to help her with her socialisation.

Flossie has been making great progress in her foster home and has been enjoying exploring lots of new places so will love to continue this again.

The Rehoming Process

Our rehoming process is designed specifically to help potential owners rehome an animal that fits in perfectly with their lives and loved ones. If you see an animal that you are interested in, please complete the form on their profile. Rehoming is organised by appointment only, so our team will be in touch if you are successful to discuss the next steps.

Initial Phone Call

We will arrange a telephone call to discuss the animal’s needs and to learn more about your lifestyle and the companion you’re looking for.

Home Check

Next, a Zoom call or a home visit will be organised to discuss the process in more detail and to discover more about your home and garden.

Further Checks

If applicable, we will ask for a vet reference, check your address and ask for confirmation from your landlord that you are able to have an animal at home.

The First Meeting

We will invite you to come and meet your potential new companion. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about them and see if they could be the right match for you.

Additional Meetings

Sometimes, it will be necessary to organise further visits at the centre to get to know your animal and introduce them to any additional pets or family members.

Home Time!

The final step will involve completing the rehoming paperwork, discussing any final details, paying the rehoming fee and taking your new companion off to enjoy a lifetime of happiness with you!  Our support doesn’t end after an animal leaves our care. We will always be here to offer help and advice when you may need it.
