Referred to as the hidden jewel of the Jurassic Coast, stunning Smedmore House is situated a mile and a half from the cliffs of Kimmeridge Bay. The house is surrounded by countryside and boasts spectacular views of Portland, Clavell Tower and the coastline.
Smedmore has two acres of flower gardens, orchards, a Mediterranean garden and a walk through its woods and fields to Kimmeridge Bay. On Sunday 14th September, the house and its gardens were open to the public in aid of Margaret Green Animal Rescue.
Visitors enjoyed guided tours of the house, browsed stalls in the gardens, relaxed and listened to our live band Mintytrevina and enjoyed afternoon tea or a glass of Pimms!
We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to Smedmore House and to all of those who came to support us on the day. The event helped us raise much needed funds for the animals in our care.
