Missie Needs a Home

Missie web

Staff at our Church Knowle Animal Sanctuary have been caring for a very poorly pussy cat after she arrived suffering with cat flu.

Upon her arrival, it was immediately clear that Missie was unwell.  She was struggling to breathe and her eyes and nose were streaming.

Although cat flu is not usually serious in adult cats, it can make them extremely poorly if they do not see a vet. Missie was prescribed antibiotics and is being carefully nursed in isolation at our sanctuary in Church Knowle.

Missie is feeling better thanks to the love and care she is receiving at the sanctuary, but we are keen to find her a new home where she can relax and enjoy the comforts of a cosy house.

Kate Wickens, manager at the Church Knowle Sanctuary explains: “Missy may be a carrier for cat flu and it is possible that some of her symptoms might return from time to time so we are eager to find a home where she will get all the TLC she deserves.

Missie is beginning to come out of her shell and will make a wonderful companion for somebody who doesn’t have any other cats in the home. She needs a warm and loving environment away from the cattery which can make her stressed’.

If you think that you may be able to give Missie a home please contact the sanctuary by calling 01929 480474 or email .
