Lincoln Farm improvement work
The two kennel blocks that are being refurbished are the two oldest blocks on site dating back many years. The new kennel building work is now complete and phase two is now underway with the metal work going in.
The work is costing around £165,000 and will provide a much improved environment for dogs in our care. The new kennel blocks will offer a cooler environment in the summer months and a warmer one in winter. They will also provide better sound insulation and be easier to clean, enabling the staff to spend more quality time with the dogs as they prepare them for finding their forever homes
With the new design comes greater flexibility with the introduction of a new side door entrance meaning that dogs that find meeting other dogs initially stressful and upsetting will not be put in that awkward situation. The new kennel blocks will also help us when dealing with dogs from so many different backgrounds.
The work should be all be completed by the 1st November and the staff at Lincoln Farm are very excited at the prospect of being able to offer better facilities to the dogs coming in to rescue. Geoff Wright, CEO commented. “I am pleased at how well the work is progressing and look forward to welcoming our rescue dogs into their new kennels”.
