GroundDog Day

May 20th is not only a special day as it celebrates the Birthday of Margaret Green herself,  it is also GroundDog Day at our Lincoln Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre

We would love you to join us at the very first, of what will be our annual GroundDog Day event it is free admission but donations are very welcome.

The event is a celebration of all things rehoming, many of the dogs you will see today have found their Forever Home with Margaret Green Animal Rescue and we couldn't do it without your help and support.

It's all for a great cause, so have a great time, and let's see if we can raise some much needed funds while we have fun.

We have lots on offer for you with displays, Novelty Dog Show, Enrichment Garden Tour, stalls and refreshments

Gates opening at 11:00

Moonlight Agility Display at 11:03

The Novelty Dog Show starts at 12:00

Here is a little more about the Dog Show Classes

£2 per class, (entry on the day) or 6 classes for £10

The classes are:

Most Appealing Eyes sponsored by Pippa

Most Handsome Dog sponsored by The Roman Group

Waggiest Tail sponsored by Pippa

Prettiest Bitch

Best Trick (any tricks that a dog can do) sponsored by Purbeck Ice Cream

Best MGAR Rescue Dog (who also wins a one year kennel sponsorship & goodie bag sponsored by Damory Vets

Dog the judge would most like to take home sponsored by Staglers

Best OAP (8 years +)

 

Rosettes will be awarded for 1st to 6th place in each category, plus some special rosettes at the Judge's discretion

The classes will be judged by long standing Volunteer and the Lincoln Farm Volunteer of the Year Caroline Leeming

 

The Novelty Dog show classes will run consecutively from 12:00 with a break at 14:00 and 15:00

gd day 4

There is lots of fun to be had for you, your family and just as importantly your dog!

Doggie Lucky Dip * Tombola * Stall * Ball Bob * Guess the Breed * Guess the number of doggy biscuits * The Poo picking game 

All this plus displays, refreshments and BBQ and some great stalls

 

As you'd expect there are some show rules:

  • All dogs to be kept on leads at all times please
  • Dogs and Bitches entering best MGAR Rescue Dog must have been rehomed from a Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre
  • Dogs under 6 months are not eligible to enter any of the classes
  • No bitches in season please
