Dolphin Shopping Centre Signs Up For Year of Support

This will be the first time that the Dolphin Centre has supported two charities with each looking to raise much needed funds. Margaret Green Animal Rescue, who are currently celebrating their 50th anniversary, and Julia’s House, who need to raise £4.6 million this year, have already formed part of the Dolphin Shopping Centre’s fundraising efforts. The centre has already been contributing by collecting food donations for Margaret Green Animal Rescue, and in addition, were able to raise £3,845 for Julia’s House with their annual Christmas grotto.

Kate Cross, fundraising officer for Margaret Green Animal Rescue, said: “We are over the moon with the support we have had from the team at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, both for their extraordinary offer of support throughout 2015 and now their amazing food collection.  As well as fundraising support, we look forward to the Centre’s event suggestions. This is an immensely important year for the charity which sees us celebrate 50 years of animal rescue, and we thank the Dolphin Centre in recognising this.”

Centre manager of the Dolphin Shopping, John Grinnell, added: “As part of our CSR initiatives, each year we support a local charity. This year I was overwhelmed by the desires of our team to support not one, but two charities that hold a special place in the hearts of our community. We thoroughly felt that each of the charities needed our help; as it is obvious that 2015 is going to be a very special year for both.”
