Back on Their Paws

3rd Nov 2022

Since the start of October, we have been sharing the story about 25 little dogs who came into our care and were in urgent need of help.

Thank you

We have been absolutely blown away by the incredible support we have received from our supporters, volunteers and external organisations. The progress they have made since arriving at our centres in Devon and Dorset has been truly unbelieveable. Each day, they are becoming stronger and braver and have enjoyed exploring their surroundings and building bonds with their carers and new families.

As a result of all of the phenomenal donations we have received from our wonderful supporters, like you, we are thrilled to share that we have raised over £20,000 for the little dogs in our care! This is an outstanding amount and it has made a huge difference to the little ones, by helping us to pay for their medical procedures, veterinary check-ups, food, comfort and much more.

Watching them play around outside together and having the opportunity to sniff the fresh scents in the autumn air has been very inspiring and uplifting for us all. After giving them the haircuts and grooms they desperately needed, we were delighted to receive a donation of coats for the little dogs from the team at Equafleece, which have been a huge help in making sure the dogs have remained comfortable and cosy in our care.

We are really pleased to share that most of the little dogs, including little Edwina, have now gone to their forever homes and are starting the next chapter of their lives with their loving families. We wish them all a very happy future together and we can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us through this challenging time.

It’s stories like this that show the importance of the work we do here at Margaret Green Animal Rescue and how when we come together, we can make a real difference to animals in need.
