This isn’t the first time this playful little prince has stayed with us. Since we met Bailey for the first time, we have matched him with a couple of new homes. However, Bailey has found himself back in our care. This happens in animal rescue and rehoming from time-to-time, as animals are as unique as we are, and the extra special ones can sometimes take that bit longer to get to know. Even though it can be sad for the owners and the animal when it’s decided they will be returned, we always look upon the positives that this situation can provide us with.
Having been able to talk about all the aspects of Bailey’s character with those who have got to know him for a while, and how he reacts within a home environment, we now have a much better insight into the kind of home set-up that would turn Bailey into the cat that got the cream.
It’s apparent that Bailey tends to form a loving and trusting bond mainly with the males in the home and, from the fond behaviours he has shown to his male house mates, we do feel his happiest possible match would be with a home shared with a single male or male couple.
Bailey would love and adore living somewhere that offers him outdoor space to explore. This scrumptious little soul has only ever been used to living in a quiet location, so we feel it would be important for his safety that he finds a home away from busy roads and the hustle and bustle of town life.
Bailey likes to hog the limelight and so he would much prefer to find a new lad pad where he could soak up all the attention from his doting ‘paw-rents.’ This curious cat is quite the foodie, so his heart can definitely be won if you have a regular selection of tasty treats for him to enjoy. This would be a great way to build a bond with him.
We know that in the right environment, with confident human besties to guide him, the parts of Bailey’s personality that we have seen here at the centre will start to flourish and you will wonder how you ever lived without this sweet face to greet you when you wake each day.
We would love to hear from you if you would like to know more about what makes Bailey the ‘paw-some’ little person he is, and if you feel you could be his special someone.
